This county-famous property has undergone an exceptional garden renovation, befitting the standards of royalty, transforming a once disproportionate outdoor space into a series of grand, terraced areas that sit harmoniously within the surrounding rural setting. Sustainability was at the heart of the project, with reclaimed materials and redistributed waste products carefully integrated throughout. Striking contrasts were created using natural reclaimed York stone flagstones and reclaimed black granite cobbles, complemented by cropped stone walling that forms elegant raised planters and crisp step risers; this stone was sourced from within the property grounds which therefore minimised the carbon footprint in processing, whilst also ensuring authenticity. Imposing York stone steps sweep up from the lawn to connect the landscape, while a separate, refined paving area features a bespoke oak pergola resting on handcrafted York stone saddle stones, creating a dramatic yet inviting dining space. Two large Chinese granite circular plinths were repurposed into prominent focal points. A fully integrated irrigation system, premium lighting scheme, and sound system ensure productivity and ambience year-round. Delicate layered planting gently softens the architectural lines, with different plants taking prominence as the year progresses offering interest throughout the entire year. The result is a garden designed to reflect the stature of the property, offering a luxurious and perfectly proportioned setting for large parties and celebrations, all entertaining, and refined outdoor living.
