Countryside Sun-Trap

Creating this natural stone sunken terrace was a memorable transformation because of its sheer ‘wow factor’ of natural colouration, texture and markings. Sandstone was used, which is the world’s oldest building and landscaping material, formed millions of years ago and processed by stone masons to create paving to specifically suit old, characterful properties.

This wonderful property lacked a useable, spacious outside area for hosting family and friends around the table, or to quietly relax and luxuriate in the sights and sounds of the surrounding landscape.

This tapestry of colourful paving appears to be slightly sunken, with its warm red reclaimed brick wraparound planter providing ample opportunities for fabulous bright, scented flowers and plants to be admired from all perspectives!
