The clearance and dredging of the pond had to be thought through thoroughly and was a messy business as we had to get right in there whilst redirecting the natural spring fed water, pumping it around the pond and back into the adjacent stream.

This layout was also intended to offer a safe and useable area for the children to explore the natural diversity a pond and running water can offer.
