This project took a lot of blood, sweat and tears but it was worth every single minute as you can see, looking at this phenomenal split level terrace accompanied by the rustic stone wall. As with all our projects, our skilled in- house staff carried out all the landscaping elements of the job.

The paving product the client chose is a hand crafted natural stone, recreating the appeal of time-worn flagstones from previous centuries. The paving features rounded corners and a smoother riven relief to the face, created to blend sympathetically with older properties and gardens where the design seeks to provide an established feel. This terrace is a total sun trap and offers the client great views across the fields and countryside.

The wall has been constructed using a cropped Welsh stone product which requires concentration and creativity whilst laying every single piece of the jigsaw. This wall was built using 35 tonnes of stone which enabled us to widen the terrace whilst retaining the raised lawn and also widen the driveway with mirrored height walling either side. As you can see, we also resurfaced the driveway using a 20mm Forest of Dean chipping.

Reclaimed bricks were sourced to built the entrance piers and hardwood gates supplied and hung in position to rejuvenate the outside space of this beautiful rural barn.
